Caldene bridle sizes?

I'm thinking of getting a Caldene 'Black Label' bridle. Just wondered if their sizing is much the same as other manufacturers.

My horse is a Sec D and has a full size at the moment with cheek pieces and nose band on middle (ish) holes. Not sure what brand this is though. (Something cheap I think!) His lunge cavesson is cob but cob head collars tend to be a bit on the tightish side.

Does anyone have a full size or cob Caldene bridle they wouldn't mind measuring for me or does anyone have any opinions on Caldene sizing? Thanks in advance!!

I have a full size caldene bridle and breastplate, I would say that they are true to size as it fits my 16.1h middle weight horse.

Thanks very much.

Am thinking of going for the full size then. Out of interest, do you have your noseband and cheek pieces on lower or higher holes? Just wondering of there'd be enough adjustment for my horse. (I'm assuming your horse probably has a larger head than mine).

Hi the buckles are on the 2nd or 3rd holes from the top and noseband buckle about half way down and generous in circumference, I can't measure as the bridle is at the yard, but I did try it on my dainty 15.1h TB and it was far to big. She wears a cob size jaguar which is a fabulous bridle.

Oh, thanks.

Might have to rethink it and go for the cob then. He's 15hh. Certainly not dainty! His head isn't really 'long' but I suppose he has a wide(ish) nose.
