If you haven't seen or heard anything about The Pegasus Cup it was set up this year. There are 12 racing spots which were sold for $1million each. People bought slots whilst not even having a horse suitable for the race. The winner take all. It is basically a match race. Nothing will touch Arrogate nor Chromey at the end.
No matter what happens today California Chrome retires as the winning most North American based horse in history. If he wins he goes out as the all time highest earning thoroughbred in the world.
