just got of the phome with karen...........they have AI'd bracken using the most fantastic semen!!

(her words not mine!!!

) she ovulated today was AI'd yesterday so fingers crossed for her scan!!

Bracken is the only mare left there that has no reason for not catching!!

2 other mares have fluid pooling etc so just her being a cow i thinks!!!

she behaved for the AI but karen said she looked at her as if to say something is missing in this picture!!

is her own fault for not co-operating in the first place!!!

the other mare mentioned in my last post was scanned with twins! like karen says its like waiting for buses!! nothing for ages then 2 at once!! that mare had been covered 5 times as well!!!

oooo, hopefully shes finally caught. Mines the only one left at the stud to be scanned. I hope to god she's taken. Its costing me a small fortune to keep her up there.

If I had my own transport I would have brought her home.

worked out i have spent £1200 on bracken since the 13th may till 31st july!!!!!!!!

and she may well be there till after my holiday!!!!

We're trying again with the one mare that didn't get in foal earlier in the season - she's got dodgy ovaries, a dodgy cervix and god knows what else and is apparently almost impossible to get in foal, but the owner decided to have one last try.... Beautiful Egyptian mare, and very sweet owner who emails or texts me almost every day with her hopes and fears and anxieties, so I really hope the mare takes this time, but frankly if she does it will be a miracle!

Please cross your fingers for her, and I'll keep mine crossed for Bracken!

I used Marksman, as mare mare is a show cob and it said on the website that i'd get another show cob if i used him plus, his temperament is to die for! They popped the twin last weds but I have to wait until this weds to make sure that the other one is still there!! Not holding my breath knowing my mare!! Sent her to stud at the beginning of April! I know shes been turned out in a paddock with the 'more rounded' mares as she rather enjoys her food! Don't know how to add a picture, sorry! Teddy was naturally covered and nothing was happening until she was AI'd, then she took! Hope this gives you even more hope!!

LOL i was picking between marksman and dollar!! but the only thing that made me go with dollar was marksmans foals are quite broad in the shoulders and it might have possed a problem with bracken givin birth especially as shes 19!!!i agree though the stallions there have the most divine temprements!! bracken had been covered naturally not this last time tho!! told karen to AI her instead!!!yep feeling more hopeful now!!!bracken was sent up on 13th may!!think bracken was in the skinnys field at first as she wasnt fat then!! shes a heffer now!!!! there is a step by step guide on how to put piccies on in the picture gallery at the top! i do know you will need a photobucket or similar account tho!! the others on this section will only ask you as well to post piccies!!!!good luck for wednesday keep us posted with the results.
