I have always had non-insulated and only ever worn them for riding not around the yard and have never ever felt my feet get cold in them.

Showing is mainly in the warmer months.
If rich get both - if not so, then get the non-insulated ones as you dont want to be running up in hand or sitting in the saddle in insulated boots in the high 20's or even in 30 degrees!

Mine are non-insulated - I wear them riding most days, except in really damned cold weather

Happy shopping :)

They are not really suitable for showing so personally I would get the non insulated, a pair of thermal socks and keep checking ebay for a second hand pair of Regents which you find regularly for under £50, even cheaper if you have skinny legs or can be arsed with pull ons (and in regent these are the most suitable for showing) Think its Regent Grafton which are nearest the straight top with zips

ETA M & S are doing two pairs of knee high thermal socks for £8 and they do exactly what they say on the tin and wash brilliantly

Insulated. They do not make your feet sweat in the summer and are a godsend in the winter. I can hack out with normal socks and never feel the cold!

Definitely insulated, ended up getting lost last December (between the snow) and going on an epic hack - only part of me that was anyway near warm was my feet, the rest of me was an ice cube!

Insulated , I've had both and found them the best and most comfy and no your feet do not get sweaty in the summer months, even on roasting hot days.
