Shall we organise a show, or get a riding club going? Have looked on the ridingdiary.co.uk and us Londoners have nothing going on. Come on London - lets get with it!!

Where abouts are you? There are loads of riding clubs in and around london!
There is Holly Hill Riding Club, North Mymms Riding Club, they are around the Herts area? There are also many other smaller clubs shows... perhaps look in Chiltern and Thames Magazine???Depends where you mean though!
Horse is in Central London (nr Vauxhall), don't have transport but could ride somewhere if it was local! It would be great to have a London riding community start up!
i'm sw london and i'm part of bookham rc. There are loads around here, chipstead, hawley etc. Bookham isn't that far and i'm sure you could get transport, I know a few that are reasonable.
My goodness - You are central! I work in Vauxhall. Have an idea where you are actually. My horse is in Kent though. Can't think of anywhere near Vauxhall that you could hold such an event? Parking boxes tricky too!!
Ther is a small show on Wormwood Scrubbs once a year, Horseman's Sunday just to the North of Hyde Park in September/October followed by a ride round the park, and one other show in Hyde Park. That's about it for Central London I am afraid. Not many people keep horses in Central London any more apart from the army horses, the police horses in Hyde Park, and a private livery yard just South of Hyde Park. Even Harrods no longer keep their horses in London.
Its great there are so many Londoners on here! It would be great, as Giggles suggests, to get riding school horses involved too - then more riders could get together as well. Will take a lot of organisation but I'm sure something could be done! I know someone who was speaking about running an event in Hyde Park (not horsemans sunday) but not sure on how that is progressing. Banjo and I are going to horsemans Sunday, if anyone is going to that?
I'm in Chelsea - no yards round here but I@ve been tempted on occasions to ride across the lovely park opposite my house
What about Tooting Bec Common - there's still a sandschool on it that's become all green and gross due to not being used (might box my boy down there just to use it
Tooting sandschool - is anyone allowed to use it? Maybe we should write to the council to get it cleaned up and start using it for small shows? Where would a good place for a picnic ride that a lot of people could get to?
Gosh, thats a long way to travel! If you are planning on coming to Tooting let me know - and if anyone fancies a picnic ride pm me and we'll sort something out
Edited as I sugested Richmond Park (used to work there and the tracks are lovely when it's an 'off-track' time) but didn't notice RachelFerd has already said the same
I live in West London and would come to say hello by have no ride currently that I could take
