As title !

I thought they looked really easy so attempted them last night only to find out they are not so easy after all :o

What do you use to make them? I used a body brush, but they seemed to come out a bit thick and rather wobbly!

Also how do you straighten off the bottom to be square without messing up the bit you want to keep?

Sorry this all sounds really stupid but I hope you know what I mean !

So super top tips for a perfect V please :D

Hiya, find a body brush with shortage firm bristles, and do the v'a in a quick firm stroke! Then brush the bottom in the direction of the fur to square it off...practise makes perfect, but the right brush helps!

Horse Health Wessex does a quarter marker brush. If I tell you it took me months to find the perfect body brush as slightly anal about it all!!
A wire brush is pretty good as well!!

What I can never get quite right is the consistency of water/body spray. I either have too much or not enough? When I use too much it looks scruffy and not enough looks patchy.

Sounds like practise makes perfect then, best get the hairspray out!

Thanks for the tip re the brush LEC will get onto Horse Health and have a look :)

I use a metal curry comb or a metal pulling comb for the stripes/Vs - so much easier to get a straight line than with a body brush ;) I reckon one of those really fine wiry dog brushes (the kind you use when they're moulting) would work pretty well too, but have yet to try!

(And I use a fork to put checks on Wilby, confuses a lot of people as to why there is sometimes a fork in my grooming kit :p)
