It's late, my brain hurts. I have to submit the plans for our manege showing the existing buildings on a scale of 1:500, the planning Dep't are supplying proper OS maps.

So, if the stable block is an L shape 9.3m x 7.8m, how big do I draw it on the plan in cm? BTW failed O'level maths 3 times!

One cm on your ruler will equate to 5m on your plans or 1cm on your ruler equals 500cm on your plans (1:500)

therefore 1.86cm on your ruler equals 930 cm (or 9.3m)
and 1.56cm on your ruler equals 780cm (or 7.8m)

Does that help?
