Based on the second picture, I'd say he looks really nicely put together.

The first picture is less appealing - which is to do with him lacking condition and muscle, and the placing of your saddle being poor. I thought at first they were different horses.....

I'd say he could probably turn his hand to anything.

He's lovely.

aw thanks very much! they do look like 2 diff horses haha!

the 2nd pic was a week ago \and the ridden picture was nearly 2 months ago :)

hes go a nice jump and he goes nicely in the school loves cross country.

but i dont know how to tell if he has the correct jump or will make a good jumper?!

:)

I can't see anything from the photos which would prevent him from being a good jumper, but even if you look at horses competing at the very top levels you will see some with pretty 'poor' conformation.

If you know he enjoys xc and has a nice temperament then correct schooling should ensure he can jump to a reasonable level at least :)

If he goes over the fence and enjoys it, I wouldn't worry about anything else.

But of course an instructor will be able to help you with your technique, and his.

aw thanks very much :) thought id post and find out :) he has a brill temp he will try anything and is very willing to learn things he is very green though and only 6 so alot of work needed.

if i posted a 2 recent jumping pics would that help?

xx
