Looking for a good equestrian centre near Plymouth if possible where i can continue with lunge & flatwork lessons & ride well schooled horses & have instructors who build your confidence & expertise. Any recommendations anyone?

There's TM International School of Horsemanship at Henwood (past Callington, towards Launceston). St Leonards at Launceston, Penewin at Saltash/Terulefoot (sp?), Lower Tokenbury at Pensilver. All have good reputations as far as I am aware I have friends/family who have (or still do) ridden at all of them. Good luck.

Good Luck finding one in plymouth, most of the good ones are further out, you might get more responses if you put Devon in your title, as Plymouth is in devon (don't know if you know that or not!). There are some good ones in Exeter too I believe, are you looking for somewhere to work or somewhere for your horse?

Second TM International, am aware of some of the others and haven't heard anything bad, but have been to TM personally so can recommend

Thanks people. I'll note the suggestions. Nervous ex pony rider, lacks confidence & wants to come back to riding but needs to build confidence & experience on a horse. Not actually for me, for my niece. Her address is Cornwall but Plymouth is her nearest big town & I thought there might be more chance of one near there than the village where she lives.

Try Penewin stables. They helped my friend back on to horses when she had a nasty accident and lost all her confidence. Its in Trerulefoot near saltash in Cornwall.
saltash is next to Plymouth with a little river running between them.
Hope this helps
