Calling every horse owner, rider or equine enthusiast in Britain – come and share your knowledge of veterinary care and therapy at www.equinesurvey.co.uk by answering nine questions, completely anonymously for two minutes! As part of my third year degree in equine science I am carrying out a research on 'the public perception of the use of equine therapies in relation to the law'. For my data collection, I have designed a short on-line questionnaire (only nine questions and about two minutes long) investigating what sort of complementary therapies people use for their horses and people's knowledge of the law regarding complementary therapies. Your equine experience, no matter how small, is important to us, so please visit www.equinesurvey.co.uk. Once you have completed the questionnaire you can email results@equinesurvey.co.uk to request the results of the research, a link to which will be emailed to you when the project is completed. Thank you very much for reading my message and I look forward to receiving your answers very soon.

Many thanks,

Perrine Junalik.
(Hartpury College, Gloucestershire).

I suggest you see your tutor regarding the survey design. If you offer respondents a number of options, you cannot assume they will pick only one.

And don't call it an equine survey and then ask questions about shortears!!!!

(You weren't the one on the stand at the Three Counties yesterday who said there were two mules at the colloge and when I queried it said they might be donkeys, were you!?--really think that college better teach the differance between a Mule and a donkey!)

Best of luck with the survey though even if I can't reply(Shame cos both my Mule and Hinney have had their backs looked at)

Thank you for your constructive criticism. The question you are referring to was the result of a web design error, which has now been corrected. Respondents are now able to select any or all of the options that apply. I appreciate your input and notifying me so promptly of this issue.

Regards,

Perrine.

Thank you for your encouraging post, I was not at the Three Counties yesterday because I was working. I am sorry to hear that you couldn't complete the questionnaire, please do try again as your knowledge would be very useful.

Regards,

Perrine.

In response to your question drjames: I do intend to publish a link to the survey website later this year as soon as the project is completed, where viewers will be able to see a summary of the results and my findings.

Regards,

Perrine.
