I do when it is properly cold (freezing temps) yes. I wouldn't do it when it wasn't very chilly though!

Because when all the pipes at the yard are frozen it's a bleddy nuisance finding water twice a day to soak it with!

I've found that it takes closer to 20 minutes to absorb properly? Ive done it exactly as it tells me too.

I soak mine for 24 hours as I make the feeds up the day before with grass nuts and beet it is fine like that it is surprising how much more it swells when left longer than the 10 minutes

Use hot water to mix. My friend takes a flask of hot water to the yard for hers. Done In literally five minutes

Nope. Because the bucket gets a rug chucked over it and is therefore well lagged. That taps... not so much so.

And don't put really hot water on it or all the vitamins in it will be ruined. Warm water is fine but boiling water will ruin it

Definitely don't do this when it's even mildly warm or you'll end up with thousands of little flies

I no longer use C&C but a friend who's pony I help look after is fed it and we always make up a medium sized bucket (with a proper lid). when they are being fed twice a day it usually lasts around 3+ days. never had a problem with doing this and don't see why its much different to doing the same with speedi beat etc. When the weather is milder we just make half a bucket so it doesn't go off (but i do the same with the speedi beat!)

Now thats what i thought of doing! In my mind, its no different to speedi beet!

I think it smells like mushy peas. I make up a day's worth and use hot water, as I need it quickly and on a cold morning it has to be nicer!
