I've recently got a TB off the race track and he is still fairly 'wired' - therefore just to ease the pressure of re-education him I'm wanting to give him a calmer. Any recommendation?

Just to help the lifestyle change and help concentration etc. He is also stressfully box walking (which I'm sure in time will go).. (He was also cribbing but that's stopped)...

I spent loads over the years on calmers, only one I' ve found to work is Lincoln valerian cordial, flax based. 2 teaspoons a day about £11 for 500ml bottle, bargain ! and it really works !

however, if you will be competing under FEI rules it is banned, which I thought was a good indication it worked lol, so as I wont' be competing I tried it its brilliant

I use magic, its the only one that works for us

I've just put my mare on the hilton herbs "calm and collected gold" and it appears to be working and she's a lot calmer, have had her on equine America (mega calm I think it was called) and that did nothing for her or my previous lad. The hilton herbs was recommended to me by two people and I have to say I'm very impressed so far, it was £22 for a litre and it's only fed 15mls twice a day.

The best thing for my wired ex racer was to turn him out 24/7 with a herd. Cured all his vices. Even though I was in a great livery yard with turnout, it was only when he lived out for about 6 months that he turned into a happy sane horse with no vices.
