Hiya I have a very nervous horse who can sometimes get himself quite worked up so im looking for a calmer that actually works and im looking for the sort of one you use everyday in feed not the ones you could perhaps use for the day of competition or something? thank you!

he has mollichaft calmer at the moment cant really tell if its working he has only been on it 2 days!

Hi, I would like to recommend Global Herbs Super Calm, it worked a treat for my very nervous and unconfident mare and you can up or down the dosage depending on how bad they are. Very reasonably priced too, good luck!

Hi there

I feed Supercalm too, and it's excellent. Was feeding Equine America Magnitude which worked too, but supercalm is very good. Doesn't stop them being total idiots, but knocks the edge off!

Good luck!

Found Supercalm worked well but I had to feed large amounts to see a result so it worked out quite expensive.

After some reading some threads on the forum I recently swapped to using Horse First Relax Me and it appears to be working really well, and more consistantly than Supercalm.

Have used NAF Magic, Steady Up (both good and not frightneningly expensive) Nupafeed (£££) and Magnitude (didn't touch him!)

Different calmers work on different horses, so you might have to experiment to find the one that works for your horse

Super Calm is good, ny other pony was fed that. My mare will not eat her feed if I put it in so I use Blue Chip Kalmer as its a liquid and she doesn't seem to pick it up in her feed.
