Just wondered what opinions are on using a one time calmer like the magic syringe in competitons?
It has been suggested to me to use one of these for dressage as my horse gets too excited (not a problem for jumping) but i am unsure on the idea.
I have a ODE ths weekend and if i do use one would it wear off in time for the jumping. Iv only done dressage once (W+T test) and ended up cantering before getting in the arena :o (was fine warming up). Now its been a year since that and we have improved alot on control but i really don't know how he will be on the day as he is different at home

I always use one if i travel to a competition they work really well on my boy and it takes the edge off him to travel and when we are there while he gets used to it

Hi, when I showed mine I had to use a calmer, I always used Global herbs, you can use their Instant calmer or their everyday one, they are very good and really work, my boy used to get stage fright and be a nightmare to warm up etc, but when on the calmer he was a different horse.
