Hi
My 5yr old Welsh D is such a stress head in the school & at times in the yard.. and i wondered if any of the calmers on the market work?
She's fine out on hacks but is totally different in the school and at on friday she jumped out of her field to be with her old field mates, ended up losing her two fronts!

She is fed ad lib haylage and has 2 scoops of sugar beet, 1 scoop of cool mix and a some alfalfa light...

Thanks
x

you'll probably find her more managable on unmolassed beet and a cube of some sort, far less starch......
i used to use topspec calmer on my d with good results, but after i turned him away i stopped using it, brought him back into work last week, and he has been on winergy equilibrium low energy, and i have to say, i'm sure he's more chilled out so haven't bothered with the calmer! maybe woth a look as it's very low starch - less then 5% and very high fibre.....

Hi
Thanks.
How much of the winergy do you give your D?

I just want her chilled out and want her to relax in the school..she was hard work to lunge yesterday!

have you tried herbal quiet mix. I give that to my cob. I used to give him 'magic ' calmer by naf. It was really good and worked, taking the edge of his silliness. Is about £27 a tub

Personally I would lose the mix and replace with Topspec balancer. I have done this with my TB mare (and added Equine America Magnesium) and she is now much safer to ride and i'm really enjoying her again
