Can I please have your opinions on calmers. I would like to try my horses on one as my mare is really stressy/sensitive and finds it really hard to relax into her work and my gelding is chilled until he gets into work then he turns into a bit of monster, he spooks at the tiniest things and totally over-reacts and explodes, which doesn't bode well when I'm sat on him. They're both horses I'm bringing back into work/re-schooling, I'm a competent rider, they're just both a bit messed up.

Now I'm worried more about long-term effects. I don't want to be stuffing them full of chemicals. Are they safe to use long term? I've been recommended Relax Me but looking at the ingredients list I have no idea what half of it is.

Just some advice please?

Hi,

Ive got a friend who uses relax me and says its very good, its a tad expensive tho. Ive used the NAF magic, didnt really do a lot.

I find the equine america the best and very good value for money. I use the magnitude but there is a stronger one but i i cant remember what it is called.

Hi there - I've used Top Spec and also Magnitude and I've been pleased with them both (for different horses). That's the thing - I think it is trial and error as what works for one horse won't necessarily work for another.
