Ok so tomorrow my mare has her 3rd visit from the farrier. The first visit, no good, managed to get shoes off....2nd visit vet sedation, very stressful, and got her shod.

I have worked hard and she now picks fronts up really well.......so farrier reckons he can shoe just with sedalin tomorrow (whole tube, big lass) so, I shall be having a very stressful day and just hope that it gets done without her playing up........will it be a case of third time lucky?

Even if not perfect you've progressed so far, so don't get upset if she needs a few more sessions yet.

Yes it will and take some of the stuff yourself HEH HEH. No but honestly if your farrier thinks it's ok , he knows his job and she will get better as time goes on try not to stress yourself out. I've found the horses are better if my Hubby holds them than me as he doesn't know how bad they can be sometimes. Had my 4 done yesterday and they where all very good and my Hubby just yacked away to my farrier so as he was relaxed so were they and I kept well away, 6 weeks time I have to do it all by myself Help!!
