Do they work?

We moved yards at the weekend, and a kind lady gave my pony one of these. I'm not sure of the brand, so I can't look up the ingredients. I'm wondering if they're a similar idea to us humans having a cup of chamomile tea?

On a related note, I had a long break from horses, my horse was PTS in my early 20s, and I came back to ownership in my early 40s, 6 years ago. The amount of 'stuff' available blows my mind!! (Bearing in mind, it was all New Zealand & jute rugs back then.) Of course, a lot is useful. Brought in my friend's 16.2 warmblood tonight & changed its rug. Was very thankful not to be wresting with a wet NZ rug!

The brand is Premier Performance.

I use their calming powder for my stressy horse (alongside training) and I can definitely tell when it’s run out so for me, yes. But also I know it doesn’t work for everyone so who knows…

If it really worked it would be banned by the anti doping agency and the FEI.

The equine edge made the original calming cookies but now Premier Performance seem to have taken over the field so could have been either.
Yes, I did wonder about this. At least would be classified as a medication?
