Hi there everyone... just doing a bit of research...

How many of you have a cameraphone, and have tried to get the photos to your PC? If you have a cable, cradle or dongle, and have used the hardware to try and get photos onto your PC or laptop, please let me know if you were successful in your attempts, how easy or hard it was, and if you've maybe still got all of your photos still sat on the phone and are unable to use them!

Thanks!

Jamie

I said that it was easy, but that was cos I had o/h to help me!! The actual process ie click on this, click on that etc is perfectly easy & straightforward if you're watching someone else do it. Left to struggle by myself, I was like, wtf???? What does that message mean?? Why isn't it doing anything???? Why won't this bl**dy thing work????????????????

Can't do it!!!
Is this an offer of help?

I have a Sony E and it has been a doddle on both my laptops.

On this one I can either infrared, bluetooth or chuck the card into the lappy. And, there on!

Mine is the sony ericsson K810i, I tried to connect it but the problem happens when I put the CD into the computer it just basically says it doesn't recognise it...I'm useless!!!

With my phone I have 3 ways of transfering sounds, pics and videos onto the pc. Via cable, bluetooth or memory card reader.
Cable is too fiddly and time consuming and using the memory card reader via usb ports can take a little extra time as it is fiddly removing the card from the phone.
The easiest way I find is to use bluetooth. I think the gadget cost me around £10 last year ( the memory card reader was a fiver). I just put it in the usb port download the software which is IVT Bluesoleil to the pc and voila I am ready to go.
Couldn't be easier and it is quick.
Once you have established the connection between your phone and pc I can highlight files on my phone and click send and whilst it is sending to the pc I can work on the pc, watch tv or anything.
The problem I had with the phone software and data cables ( I have a LG phone) was the conflict with previous LG software which had been uploaded to the pc for different LG model phones. I even tried uninstalling software and reinstalling and sometimes it would work and other times not. So when I had a phone that had a memory slot for a card (Micro SD in my case) I just went and bought a memory card reader to make the job easier. I got the bluetooth device because other people in the house don't all have memory cards so using bluetooth is an easier option for them until they buy memory cards.

I have a samsung and a nokia, and both of them are easy peasy to take photos off, either using usb cable, bluetooth, memory card or email. I tend to use bluetooth because I'm too lazy to plug a wire in, and this laptop makes it really quick because it can access the phone's files instead of you having to send each individual photo from the phone.

The Razer was easy, plug in cble of transfer pics no problem-untill they updated something

First pic was fine, then it crashed, couldnt install the transfer disk without the update so very frustrating.

My C5 is a nightmare, resort to emailing pics to myself to get them on laptop!

Yes, you might find that the disks that came with the phone don't work with Vista!

If you go onto the Sony website, you can look up the phone and you should find their downloads to cover Vista.

You shouldn't have any problems then.

I find it very easy becuase i just send it via bluetooth but i would not know what to do if using a cable via usb port etc but i guess it would workit out but the bluetooth way is just soooo easy
