Cameras for dog?

We're considering getting a camera for additional peace of mind when we're out to see what the dog is up to

Does anyone else use them and could recommend a particular one?

Ive just ordered two Mi 360 smart cameras. They are on offer at £29.99 which means they arent much more expensive than cheap chinese knock offs from ebay. The spec is good and reviews are also good.

There are better more expensive options out there, but like you I just wanted to keep an eye on the dog the odd time hes left, and this seemed an expensive but good quality way to do it

If you have a spare device (tablet etc) at home then I'd suggest the Alfred app, it's free (or you can pay a small amount for premium but it mostly just let's you zoom in) and means you can check up on them, you get alerts to your phone if there's movement and you can talk to them.
