Cameras info needed

I am considering installing a camera to watch the horses grazing from home. I understand that they run off solar power,we have no electricity at the yard,are waterproof and need a SIM card. How much per month are people paying for the data please?

I have 2 Reolink Gos running off SIM cards/ solar panels. I just pick whatever the cheapest deal is on Money Saving Expert for 3GB which seems to be plenty for what I use them for (a few checks through the day, I don’t have any alerts or recording set up)
 
I have a reolink go. Its ok but am on 4th replacement. I would reccomend if its outside to have it undersome type of cover as although they are supposed to be water proof water has got in to mine and had to be replaced. Also it charges ok in summer but you will need to charge from mains in winter. If you have recording and alerts set up it quickly drains the battery.
The customer service for reolink is good but had to return 3 cameras for various reasons so there may be better options. I have a smarty sim £6 a month.
 
I also have Reolink Go, and Go PT cameras. The Go is getting on for 10 years old, the PT about 5. Never had any issues with either that the support team couldn't solve very easily. I would second the advice for some kind of roof to keep rain off the lens. I use the camera recording as well as live viewing, I maybe recharge the Go once every 10-14 days ( I have a spare battery so it's always on) the PT is on a solar panel, which I occasionally have to mains charge in the winter. The infra red also doesn't see very far, which is the only thing that would make me try a different camera. Reolink Support is excellent , and they usually have offers if you want to buy new.
 
Xega camera, Lebara sim via MSE which is about £1.15/month for 6 months, then £4.90/month. Happy enough with it for the price as I can see more that I used to when I'm not there (which was...none) but I can only see them when they are in the nearest portion of the field (it does slope gently up, and camera is on one of the lower sides). It's definitely definitely better than nothing, but not perfect. I'm considering getting a second for the other end of the field.
