I know they exist but wondered if anyone had recommendations for cameras to set up at home, which will link to my mobile phone, so I can see what the dogs are doing while I’m out? Ideally I’d like to be able to talk to them too so I can tell them to shut up if necessary!

I’m sad to admit I also want to check how many times my dog sitter is visiting - I’m paying for minimum 2 visits a day and I’m not convinced she is doing them, which makes me sad as I’ve been using her for years and thought I could trust her ☹️

You can do it on an Amazon Alexa, I just had mine set to notify if the dogs barked.

I also rigged up my laptop (years ago!) so I could check my dog from the office through the webcam (he was always sleeping 😆)

I’ve got a Tapo as well, very useful and I can talk through it if they are up to no good. I also find it very useful to check on them if they bark at night, if they are all in their beds ( not that they use the beds, they sleep on the armchairs mainly) i don’t worry but if one is standing by the door I know they need to go out..

Any of them will do that. Mine are the cheap £20ish ones from Amazon. They do everything you need and super easy to set up.

Thats given me an idea - if I can sort the first one out I’ll order a second one to go upstairs so I can monitor Colin, who has the run of the house while I’m out. He does love chewing cardboard….. 🤣
The App allows you to set a number up - I've got them so I can track my semi-feral cat who is very elusive! I have an SD card and movement detection set on so I can review the playback and see if he has been in or not.

I thought i could catch out our card chewer for sure but the hubble records 10 seconds of motion, this is time enough for two dogs to walk past and slightly out of sight 😄 Made it even more annoying.
