Still wittering on
1st world problems.... feel free to scroll on by. BUT I am being driven mad by changing Covid restrictions! Don't get me wrong - restrictions are good. I am all for lockdown and careful unlocking,. but the changing goal posts are doing my head in
I had dates booked to run a camp at Somerford 4-6th May and was pretty much full. But then toilets overnight were banned because although sport is allowed and access to toilets permitted as part of sport, it was deemed not ok for camps. I and Somerford thought Cheshire East would insist we lock the toilets at night but allow self contained cmapers in single house hold lorries to use the loos in the day time. But nope, daytime loos could not be accessed by campers. So after discussing with those coming we relocated to Kelsall. Where loos are allowed by their local council. After relocating I understand the rules have changed again at Somerford and I could have stayed there after all!
But Kelsall is great so back on track... all good. But now the indoor is out of action for that camp. Given we were doing both dressage and SJ in the indoor that camp is not viable either now unless they can sort something out!! Arrgggghhh. I cannot believe I may have to email everyone a 2nd time to say 'er guys....' not to mention the money I have already spent on the logistics.
So many people must have assumed indoors were operating under the same principles as last time. A lot of events organisers will be tearing their hair out now. Not to mention people who own/run indoors.
I am waiting for Kelsall to get back to me to see if they can accommodate us or not. Fingers crossed.....
