Hey all,

Me and my mate have bought tickets for camping at badminton. We're both really looking forward to it as its both our first times down there. My question is, what's the camping site like? Has anyone else camped down there and how did they find it? Were there any problems? Any tips/tricks we should know about before we get there? We already have all the camping gear.

thanks in advance!!

I have taken a caravan down there twice and had a ball. Loo's get dodgy towards the end of the stay (bear that in mind!) hence now prefering a caravan! not very easy to get out again (heavy traffic) so best to take all you need. Couple of throwaway bbq's worked wonders and enjoy the socialising after the event finishes for the day!! Really missed having my dogs with me (caravan was rented so no go) but apart from that - had such an amazing time.

right so pee in the bushes for the last couple of days! I hadn't even thought about the BBQ's. Brillaint idea!! Thanks so much. We're students so decided to camp as its so much cheaper than travelling in and out from glos city. Hopefully we wont be driving at all, and will just hoof it but not sure where the camp site is exactly. Been through all my info from the box office and theres no info. Oh well!! It will be an adventure!!!

im thinking of camping on the friday night and saturday night and getting very very drunk haha!!

eeeek im so excited although this year I think im staying at my boyfriends dads house as he lives in chipping sodbury which will be a bit scary as I haven't really met him before! We always take the caravan or horsebox and have never really had any problems but I would agree with Luci07 about the loos so I would be prepared and take some loo roll! They do have some showers too which arent too bad but I would invest in some cheap flip flops to wear! There is a little shop on site and then a little shop just off the road before you walk into Badminton for milk and things like that! And it's only a 5/10 minute walk to get into Badminton which is handy :) Umm with tips for camping maybe a torch would be handy when trying to find the loos at night! :D

We have stayed three times now and I agree with toteymote on all points. Hope our crowd dont keep anyone awake too late.
