Camping @ Badminton!

I know, its going to be freeeezing!! But it worked out cheaper so

Anyhow, only a quick question! Is there any form of electricity port / place to use briefly to charge phones etc , e.g if theres a proper toilet block or anything. If not i'll be off to find a car charger which is fine.

Is it also mahem to get into?? Would I need to be there the minute the site opens etc etc. Any info will help - need to prepare

There were shower blocks when I was last there some 4 or 5 years ago. Wasn't too bad getting in as people seemed to stagger their times. Getting out was more interesting! Enjoy - highly envious...

I went a long time ago, we had a fab time!! No showers but we snook into lorry park and showered in there.....
Getting in was fairly easy, we didn't leave till the Monday after all had finished. Am soooo jealous, have a great time xxx

its easy getting in as people can start arriving from Wednesday PM onwards, and no rush to get there. Lots of showers, difficult to get in in the morning as everyone queuing but we tend to go at night. No electric unless you have paid for an electric hook up for caravan or lorry so take your car charger for your phone.

Showers can be a little unreliable! So queue for ages and then find the water is stone cold or off completely. I either get up REALLY early or just stay grubby for a few days - OH meets me at the front door on my return and points upstairs to the bathroom! If you need to get away quickly at the end then we find the best thing to do is to go to the vetting on the last morning (get there VERY early as the whole audience seems to turn up these days - 20 years ago there would be about 10 people and a dog!) and then go back to the campsite and pack up, so as soon as it's finished you can get out, otherwise it can take ages - especially if the ground is wet and people are being towed out. Most envious - I'm not going this year for the first time that I can remember - off to Florida instead (on one of those rare aeroplane things!)
