First visit to Bramham and first camping trip at any horse trials......so how was it?

Good points - caravan wardens were fab and so friendly, loos and showers were not too bad. Cleaned and replenished regularly. Course was brilliant, well built and nice to watch. Trade stands good and varied. Lots to watch - pony club games exciting, good show jumping.

First ever time watching the trot up on Sunday and what a great spectacle. Plus we got to meet a lovely man - Stanley Cotton - who would be presenting a prize in memory of his late wife. Quite the nicest man ever.

The weather helped of course. The programme was great and the whole event well organised.

The only thing that spoiled it was the group of idiots on the camping field on Friday night who insisted on playing (crappy) loud music and thinking that everyone else would want to share. Even the people with small kids.........and were affronted when the wardens very nicely asked them to turn it off at 11 pm. Why do people like this go to places like Bramham and not Ibiza where they belong??

Anyone else there and camping and agree with what I have said?

We go to Bramham every year but this is the first time I've camped over and I loved it!

Was very impressed with the showers which were fantastic and the perfect temperature :)

We had a few bevvies on the Friday night but nothing too much and didn't hear any music blaring out late at night?? We had a little bit on but fairly quietly as we were too busy nattering!! We were at the other end of the camping field to you perhaps?? We were right near the end closest to the corner combo

Saturday night we were too exhausted for anything like that and had a cup of tea and went to bed!

All in all a brilliant weekend and I'm half tempted to do the full lot next year!

Yep. We were at the other end. Closest to the trade stand camping field.

We thought we would do the whole lot next year too and maybe camp up near the other end of the field.

Was great though wasn't it? :-)
