After this weekend, I'm thinking Henry and I will be taking the tent off for a long weekend of walking in the Peak District sometime soon (once I've got a new, warmer, sleeping bag that is as it was a bit chilly last weekend in my lumpy old one:D)

So, can anyone recommend / find me a nice site?

I am looking for something small, rural, dog friendly (of course!), ideally somewhere around the Ladybower Reservoir. Proper loos and showers a great advantage but as long as there's a loo of some description I'll manage! Ideally one without caravans would be good too:)

Go, go, go!:D

Its not overly near Ladybower, but Barn Farm in Birchover is very nice. :)

Its the only one I've been to though, as I don't tend to camp near home. :D

http://www.barnfarmcamping.com/ Its quite swish for a campsite (well, compared the ones I've been to!) they've just re done all the showers etc.

Thank you guys:)

I have found a place in Edale which is only about 5 miles from the hill I want to walk up, so will make for a nice day's walk. Looks really nice and quiet - hope they have room on the weekend I want!
