I have recently began using a sweet iron copper tom thumb bit on my horse to jump and he is going brilliant in it... I know it is a reversible bit and i am currently using it in the less harsh way, i.e with the copper bumps not on the tongue. However, my trainer mentioned to me that i might need to check whether BE permits it to be used either way? The last thing i want is to be pulled up at the start box with them telling me i cannot use it this way at events. I have looked in my rule book, but it does not give advice on this particular issue. Any help would be hugely appreciated :)

We had 1 who had the snaffle version used the softer side for sj & stronger side for xc
He competed to intermediate & cci **
