Can anyone help an urgent case Stockport?

Details-
1yr old friendly alaskan malamute /GSD cross apparantly to be pts tonight as barking in rented accomodation and got a letter saying it has to go. Know nothing more about it, Stockport area. Think it's female.

And I think we could have found her somewhere even temporarily, unfortunately because we only found out an hour before she came in to be pts, by the time we had tentatively got a desperate plan, she was pts RIP pup

WTF?? I don't get it - how come it didn't have any more time? Who was it PTS by? I would have thought a young rehomable type of dog would have been given a bit longer to have been found a home. Despicable. How come the owners didn't do anything to prevent it being PTS - I sure as hell would if it were mine!?

I know I'm a bit of a cow but its not hard to find a dog another home. It really isn't. The fault lands squarely at the owners door here.
