Can anyone help - may I'm just a bit dim!

Ok, been trying to upload a picture of my boy now for ages - but it keeps saying that the file is too big and I don't know how to make the image smaller? I just want a picture of him as my 'avatar' or so its called!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Is your photo in photobucket if so you can resize the picture using their software?

Unfortunately not! It's just in my documents as a jpeg on my work PC!

Ok, just opened an account in photo bucket, loaded photos, re-sized photos, saved back on to PC, tried to upload and still to big! Max is 80x 80 pixels and mine is 167pixels - AAAHHH!

I think in photobucket you can resize to avatar size now

I have had the same problem with photobucket which is why I have no avatar yet???

If you want put the image up on here as a pic and I will try to resize it for you

post the picture in the Common Room and i'm sure some kind soul will do it for you, that's how i got round the problem

Do you have photoshop installed on your pc? If so, open it in there, go to 'image' then 'image size' and then change the size. When you're done, go to file and 'save for web'. It's usually the image in the top right hand corner that you want to select. That should do it!

Nope no photoshop unfortunately on my PC! But Vikki has emailed and told me to email it to her and she would try and do it for me, bless her! So, if she still has no luck then I will be posting it in the common room!!! Right going home now, and maybe tomorrow I'll have an Avatar and you can all see a picture of my boy!
