I am doing some horse judging for my yfc club and i was wondering if you could help me with a few pointers like what to look out for...
I have to put 4 horses in order form best to worst if you get what i mean..

thanks guys

Ohhh, I did that when i was younger! Managed to win the county rally thing but I'm thinking i was just lucky!!

They were pretty scabby ponies when I did it so faults were pretty east to spot. good luck!

Sorry, not much help!

OK
- Look for any glaring defects/injuries
- Then things such as croup high
- You want to see good straight legs (not cow hocks, pigeon toes), better to have shorter cannon bones rather than long ones, no boxy feet, better to have good wide feet than ones that are too small
- You want to see a good angle of shoulder, good length of limb from quarters to hock, good length of neck, sensibly sized head.....
The list goes on...

I'd find a book on conformation and look at some of the piccies if I were you.....
