Some of you may remember my mare, Cass:
Well, she's been out on loan for the past few years with an absolutely amazing family. The girl is incredible with her horses and they want for nothing and I just couldn't have asked for a better home for Cass. She's always looked amazing, her weight has never been made a problem [very good doer], very well schooled schoolmistress - however, not 'easy'. She'll teach you everything, but you work to get there. They've come on absolutely amazing together through ups and downs. From not jumping much, to now jumping 4ft+.
Anyway, point of my post is, Cass will unfortunately be outgrown by the end of this year and my plan is to put her in foal this Summer, so she is returning to me slightly ahead of plan. [She may go back in the next few years for her her younger sister in her retirement days!]
I was wondering if I could help try and find her another horse on loan to take Cassie's place for her when she's gone, to have as her next long term horse. She has so many references she can pass over, I would happily vouch and put any of my horses over with her, as I couldn't offer a better home than that.
She's looking for around 15-15.3hh, mare or gelding age 5+ to do a bit of everything on - she regularly goes to Leyland show jumping and dressage and HT's etc, would love to start doing some BE on the right horse next year. So anything which is or could be just a lovely fun all rounder for her. She is used to youngsters, currently is helping back and school on a baby down her yard for someone also.
It would be from about June time onwards, as that's when Cass comes back home to me.
I just thought I'd post this up here, just in case I could find anything from word of mouth. Ideally, on-going as this will be her next 'long term' horse, she will be absolutely heart broken after losing Cass who she's had on going also.
She's near Bristol, Wiltshire/South West.
Here's the 2 in action:
