I may be being stupid here and about to answer my own question but...

Just under 4 weeks ago my girl got her leg stuck through her rein (stupid mistake, my fault and not deliberate!) she didn't panic but did pull back. The next day she seemed a bit 'ouch' on that leg, understandable, so i gave her 4 days off riding and turned her out daily. When i got back on she was fine, i took time just walking then building up to trot, better to be cautious!
It seem to have come back in the last week, she isn't typically lame, no head nod etc and is fine in walk and canter (actually doing her best walk moves yet), she is happy to be ridden, loving her hacks. It is only noticeable when i go into trot esp round a bend and on the leg that she caught.
Like i say she isn't lame as such but just very slightly goes ooch as she puts her leg down, ok so this might be lame!! I wouldn't have carried on riding if i thought she was unhappy but she is showing no signs, no tail swish etc.

Should i rest her again as it def helped the first time, try her with bute, call the vet or what!?? :o

If she shows discomfort when putting weight on her "bad" leg she is lame, it may only be slight but needs looking into, as she has not recovered in 4 weeks I would get the vet so you know what you are dealing with.

Just not sure if more time off would give it a chance as she did improve, maybe 4 days wasn't that long?

She has had 4 weeks since the injury, long enough even with riding for bruising to heal, if she has damaged a ligament you really need to know, a muscle strain may heal on its own in 4 weeks but may need physio to treat.
Slight, niggly lameness may be a sign of trouble brewing which if treated now appropriately will resolve but you really do need to know what you are dealing with in order to treat appropriately. It could be anything from a check ligament to an abscess in her foot, unrelated to the pulling back.
I always do as you did, give what seems to be a minor injury a few days off, if it comes totally sound fine but if not a vet will be called.

Just because a horse seems happy to work does not mean it is not in pain.
