I'm moving house next month and I can't take my cat with me so I need to rehome him.

Any ideas of best way to go about this? He's 2 yrs old, Ragdoll cross and is a ginger & white fluffy bundle of pure rodent killer

He's an awesome hunter but isn't tremendously good with small kids

He is neutered and his jabs are up to date.

I don't really want to go down the cat protection / cat & dog home route as they've probably got enough to be going on with!

ragdolls are great cats and I think people really want this breed as they are generally big soppy balls of love.

I agree advertising in local papers etc.....
Also local vets and pet stores are good! ]

and obv make sure you vet the people yourself before parting!

sorry you cant take your cat with you!

no, we're over-run with cats round here so no one wants him

Ideally I'd like to get him a new home before I go on holiday in two weeks time......

I've popped him in the free ads paper that comes out on Weds so will see if that produces anything.

All I want is a good home for him

What a shame you are so far away. We are down to one cat now the old boy has popped his furry clogs and I would love a ragdoll.

Im sure you will have no trouble finding a home for him.

In some areas Gumtree is quite active for smaller animals, or the Pre-Loved website.

I've 'rescued' a few little critters from people unable to cope anymore from GT. There always seem to be quite a few ads for cats on there too.

Careful vetting of homes wd obviously be needed tho....
