Can Anyone Help

I would be inclined to agree with Amy on other thread, think possible fracture.

Only experiences of fractures I've had are either the cut and dried ones, no doubt about it and PTS jobs or one with a cracked pelvis. A young filly came over a gate and didn't get high enough cue crash to the ground. She was box rested for six months, only the first fortnight on any pain relief so that she wasn't inclined to move around anyway; she did come right and went into event training but she didn't like the job in spite of being purposely bred for it from an international mare. While on BR she grew two hands, went very lanky and took the following summer to fill out again. Other one was my old mare which came up hobbling lame nearly 20 years ago so nothing like scanners available then, took me 30 minutes to get her back to yard. Not a mark or sign on her but seemed to come from hip/hock area. Vet, buted and BR for over a week, no different, didn't cope with BR at all even with company so turned out and couldn't move a yard, was very depressed as she would be the life and soul of any party normally in the regular cavalry charge around the fields. No choice but PTS and PM found she had smashed her hip joint to smithereens on the inner side and all the muscle was like jelly, you couldn't feel anything or see anything at all from the outside and you could have carried on with pain relief forever; it would never have healed in a million years so right choice for her.
Sorry I don't have anything more positive, hope you get it sorted so you at least know what you're dealing with.

Years ago my old event horse cornered my youngster in a field and kicked ten bells out of him - result was extensor tendon damage on near hind hock. Saw Neal Ashton (Oakham) who was totally unconcerned. Conservative treatment and horse was pretty soon right as rain and went on to event successfully. Hope that is all it is for you.
