Can anyone interpret greyhound racing results?

I just googled Islay's racing name and got some results! The Irish Greyhound Racing Board have some races listed for her when she was a youngster, but I am rather dim and cannot work out whether she was placed etc - can anyone advise?

Her racing name was Ballinahina Lady

i think she won her 1st 4 races the 4th race she won by 0.75 of a length or maybe the 1st 3 there aren't races. then i've no idea why they're there

her 5th race she was 6th and was 4 lengths behind the winning dog
6th race she was 5th and 14 lengths behind the winner

the remarks i'm not quite so sure of. think the last 2 are 'never showed'
SlAw could be 'slow away' i really am just guessing here

i think the s/p are her betting odds.

I was just wondering really whether she was any good - I suppose she did keep racing for a few years - she is now happily snoring on the sofa next to me

awww cute, nice to see she's settled in so well.
i love greyhounds, but as we had small animals at home (rats, chinchilla and a rabbit) couldn't offer an ex racer a home .
we have a cat now too

if you gooogle BGOA then go on to the greyhound database, then dog search you can find all your dogs pedigree. you can then look at the 47 races and see what trap they came out of . what grade etc. she has very good breeding and raced in a good grade. when she had trials that was probably when she came back out of season as they have to have 3 trails before they can grade in. pm me if you want anything else explained.

just wanted to say my rescued greyhound is Islay's littermate, who raced as Echo Pride and is now Ambrose
(I searched for all his littermates in the hope more had been adopted and found your post)
