I am looking to buy a pony from the new forest sales but there is a slight problem transport!!! i dont have anyone and think the horse transport people would cost a fortune.
Is anyone going that could possible bring one back for me. im glos oxfordshire boarders. happy to pay towards petrol??!! Thank you
 
Last time I bought there, the Verderer mentioned that I should have gone direct to him instead of bothering with the sales - verderers - they have loads of ponies to get rid of and can probably help with transport.

I shared with a chap who owned a large racehorse transport firm, he was buying with his friend and we had a lot of grief from the people there because of the lorry we arrived in.

eric gillies horse transporters, scotland , are very reasonable with prices, they go all over uk , I bought a horse from London travelled to scotland for around £350 , which is a really good price so for shorter distance i think they would be great .

Are you a member of Hamlets House Native Pony Forum? You could post on there to see if anyone can help you. Aalso my other half works for John Parker International Transport - give them a call, if they have horses being delivered in the UK that day they will add your onto the lorry.
