Hi guys
I've had a crap morning and its only 9.15!!!
I've picked up some work this weekend at used car sales room on reception - so I have sacrificed my weekend as I really need some new wellies !! Anywho - the point is I've had my in foal mare back from stud a week now shes been living out all summer but was a little skinny when I got her back so I kept her in for a week to feed her up a bit and to get used to her new field etc with the intention of her living out rugged up for the winter ... SO My mum is in Hospital and I've got this work so last night I thought ok maybe I should try leaving her out now , She is in a small paddock surrounded with other small paddocks all with horses living out in them and she has been settled in the day.
Sooo ... I worried all night about my girl crossing my fingers only to find when I get to the farm that 2 of the other horses have broken out in the night and have been running up and down her paddock fence ! She was drenched with sweat and clearly tense !!! I've brought her in put a cooler on and left her with a big haynet but I'm worried about the baby - do you think the stress could harm it should ? Should I try and turn her out again tonight (not liking this idea very much) The 2 escapees have trashed their gate so will be going in the field behind her til its fixed !
I don't think it helps that I'm worried about my Mum either . just tell me to shut up if I'm being soft
