Poor "Archie" is desperately seeking a new family but it seems out of all the dogs this rescue group are re-homing, no-one wants Archie. He looks very similiar to a greyhound. Is tall and white in colour. He is about 3 years old. He is very timid and nervous of men. He absolutely idolises children. He WILL chase cats.
We've seen Archie a number of times now (he walks past my mobile snack bar every day) and he always looks so sad. If we hadn't taken in another rescue dog a week before Christmas, we would have taken Archie in. It's just those eyes - they really tell a very sad story of his life so far. He has scars on his head so looks as if he was ill-treated, perhaps that's why he has a distrust of men, but nothing nasty about him at all.
If you can re-home him - do contact me - we'd love to be able to see him in a happy home. And before anyone suggests we take him too - we've got too many rescued dogs ourselves at the moment - all of whom will stay with us for life (and our dogs would be just too much (playful wise) for Archie).
He's in the Suffolk branch of SOS Dog Rescue (Newmarket).
