I am looking to take my chidren & friends with ponies to a beach that has easy access for unloading, is a nice clean beach & ponies are allowed on all day. We are based in Warwickshire so a 21/2 hour trip max would be ideal. Can anyone recommend anywhere???

We have some lovely beaches for riding up here but I think it'll be a bit far for you sorry.

TBH, I wouldn't even know which direction to head from Warwickshire ... Wales maybe???

Hunstanton and the place next to it but I have just had a senior moment and can't remember the name! I have ridden there and it is just brilliant. Took me about 2 hours in a lorry from Northamptonshire. There is a place called Ringstead nearby where you can stay as well but I believe it does get booked up.

Holkham I think you mean goya!

Park on Lady Anne Drive, its £10 for the day, loads and loads of room; Plus the beach is fantastic, you can go anytime of the day

Took me two hours from Market Harborough

That's the one. Thank you from an old senile lady!
I had the most fantastic time there and realised one of my life's ambitions to gallop along a beach.

I'm not sure how far Camber Sands is from you, I think it is to far, but it is a great beach to ride on.

Only thing is in the summer you have to go on before 7am and after 7pm, after October till March it is open to horse riders all the time.

Brean Sands near Weston Super Mare, you can park the Lorries on the beach.

I don't use brean I use berrow though not if they want to paddle, it can be a bit treacherous due to the mud flats and is only suitable for taking horses into the water at very high tide (ie when you cannot park on the beach) and is better in certain areas. I would certainly not venture out without someone who knew the area, this section of coast is a real accident hotspot recently with people not realising the dangers.

Wow, could not get further away.

As mentioned brean sands is good, I went there with my old work place.

I am in Lincoln, and a beach near theddle thorpe where the seal sanctary is, is great, and only £2 parking, we wnet there a couple of weeks ago. I used to get to warwickshire in around 21/2 hours when I had to go their on work business, but that was without a horse box

Another vote for Holkham. I haven't been there with the horses myself but I know plenty of people who have and I have heard it is very good.

Holkham beach is fab & if you can go and stay go to Whitehall Farm at Burnham Thorpe. Lovely hack to beach or just around lovely countryside. Stables & grazing for ponies. You can camp, sleep in lorry or in the B&B at farm....it's great! xx
