Can anyone recommend a comfortable harness

For an EBT who is prone to pulling on the lead.

I've not used one before so want to be sure it's strong enough and won't chafe under the legs etc.

No because a harness will allow the dog to pull harder.
A martingale collar with training in proper usage will be a better option.
 
I know this wasn't the question you asked but I would imagine putting a normal harness on an EBT will be strapping yourself to the strongest part of the pulling dog.
If you are intent in a harness I'd look at a front-leader or sidepull type so you can bring the dog back around to face you but not sure of brands.
I'd definitely avoid the Lupi type on past experience.

Also look at your lead, as it is also important.
It doesn't really matter what collar or harness or headcollar you use, the dog needs to learn to walk on a loose line, so lots of directional changes, going backwards, consistency, lots of short training sessions which will wipe the dog out just as much as a long walk.

Also maybe check with East Kent as she is a bull terrier person.
 
Tis true- wont help a jot with pulling- apart from taking pressure of the neck. However if thats what you want then X tra dog do fleece ones- with a front leading point, which can help with the right training.
 
Thank you everyone, I just need to take the pressure off her neck for the time being so do need a harness. However she does pull so maybe it's worth thinking of some of the collar & lead alternatives for when she can come out of the harness. I'll do some research.
 
Word of warning with head collars on EBT's they do have a tendency to slip off! We now have a cosy dogs fleece harness for our very pully fox terrier and wish I had had one for our old EBT. If you use a longer lead with two clips one to the front point and one to back and rather than pulling back lift. Mind you easier said than done with a big Bully. Food worked wonders as did a favourite ball - she could be bribed quite easily. Good luck hope she is back to normal soon. (Any chance of a photo of her?)

Oh she is lovely! We've only had white ones (both were deaf too although I have been told they are all rather deaf when they want to be) and have promised ourselves a coloured one day. Love our two dogs but it's not the same without a bully. Hope you get a harness sorted soon.
