I'm with Petplan for my boy. It's the veteran plan though. But you get what you pay for and they're brilliant. Very informative and helpful (lots of added perks too, like money off products) 
Can anyone recommend a good company for horse insurance?

I've been with PetPlan 10 years and they used to be good but now they are awful.
Their communication (lack of) is disgraceful.
I have recently had to make a claim with them after not claiming for years and have been shocked how downhill they have gone.
No communication for 3 months with regard to a claim - not good is it?

The boys are insured with NFU, all claims have been paid out quickly and apart from once having difficulty getting hold of them they've been amazing.
My vetran is insured with Petplan, both times I've had to claim with her they've paid not quickly and with no issues.
