I am going on holiday in a few weeks with some friends who`ve never ridden but they all want to try it. Do any of you know a good place - ideally well kept horses and a nice school - I want them to have a safe but fun time. Thank you

There are others near/in weymouth but KMC has good facilities and horses.

Lanehouse Equestrian Centre near Chickerell is really good, fab quality horses but is expensive and don't know how keen they would be with a one-off.
Ranch House - Osmington - has a school; horses and yard are a bit scruffy IMO but well looked after
Windmill Riding Stables on Portland has new owners now so not sure, they definitely cater for the holiday rider though
Weymouth Riding Centre in Chickerell - avoid!!

Agree KM is good but again I'm not sure if they cater for a one-off; usually really booked up.

Studland bay stables, they have a web site, not sure if right area for you though my geography not good, haven't been there myself but I asked same question as you ages ago and was recommended that place by several people!
