I am looking for an artist to paint my Father's dog that sadly passed away last month, can anybody recommend an artist or point me to any websites? I know that there are some fantastic artists on HHO but I just don't know where to find them!

PM if you prefer :)

Thank you

I used Gina Hawkshaw Equestrian and animal artist to do a pic of my mare - it looks fab and pretty affordable :) I think Gina is a member on HHO but I'm not sure what her name is! Try googling that name she has a website and a facebook page!

I think Gina maybe called "Mildred" on here.

I could also recommend "Susan Robertson - Animal Portrait Artist" on Facebook. If you type in Animal portrait or Pet Portrait on Facebook lots will come up.

Toni Hargreaves - truly stunning, detailed work and I thought very affordable. She got exactly what I wanted, including the right type of frame and a plaque, and you get regular updates of how it's going and a DVD of the progress!

I can whole heartedly recommend Mel at Pet Portraits. She does pencil drawings and her husband oil paintings. I received an amazing service from them. http://pet-portraitartist.com/

Agreed! Mel did a pencil portrait of my boyfriend's spaniel for his birthday last year, it was absolutely wonderful. She is such a pleasure to deal with as well, really personable, polite and friendly.

This was it!

I can't recommend Lorraine Clivery highly enough; she has done a fabulous one of my three best dogs; I cried when I first saw the finished one and it's even more special now that I have lost Wish too. If you look through her gallery you'll see she's captured the expression of most breeds so well you can't help to be impressed.

My three specials, Legend, Wish and Widget, sorry it's a bit blurry but the detail on it is amazing.

Hi, I have just started doing pet portraiture; I've drawn and painted dogs for friends in the past and they have been very happy with the results! I'm very affordable and am currently about to start an art foundation course. Here's a link to my facebook page if you are interested..
