Hi, i've taken all the horse books out of my local library and am still wanting to further my knowledge. Can anyone recommend any general horse care/management/training books. The cheaper the better. Thank You :)
 
I am a bit of a 'book-a-holic', when I can't be down the yard I like to read about what I could be doing :)

The threshold series are great to dip in and out of on various subjects eg

You can sometimes buy these for bargain prices from the 'marketplace' sellers on Amazon, don't forget you have to add £2.75 p&p for these sellers.
 
You might like mark rashid's books. He deals with problem horses but with common sense not gadgets etc. Fascinating books to read and are written in a story format, I love them. He's written quite a few, think the first one is Considering the horse.

I've just bought both those books (but in paperback) for £5.52 inc p&p - later editions too - Amazon is just too easy!!!

For me, you can't beat the Pony Club Manual of Horsemanship. It contains a lot of helpful riding tips, riding exercises, and general care info. Even first aid help etc! I always have mine on my bedside table! :) xx
 
Lots of good horse books with very good prices on rubooks.co.uk. I bought another 3 books last night!!!
