For a long backed, HUGE shouldered Warmblood?

Saddle fitter came last week & our Albion Comfort doesn't really fit him well. She mentioned a VSD (?) but just thought I'd canvas opinion.

My Barry Swain is awesome for big shouldered horses. - Although mine is a TB - he is broad for his size and throws everything miles behind his shoulder. Fabulous bit of kit and can be picked up on ebay dirt cheap, and altered to fit.
Failing that I have heard good things about Ideal saddles.

That is a VERY long back!

Well, the Ideal Suzannah is a lovely saddle

. With his long back I'd avoid the banana panelled saddles like the Jaguar or Amerigo as I think they would be too unstable on him. I think you want wider panels, so something like the Ideal, or the Albion Ultima or perhaps something like the Semiflex Barrie Swain?

With a back like that I reckon an Albion SLK Ultima as it has nice wide panels.

Used both an Ideal and an Albion on my long backed, ultra wide connie and like both. Ideal had to be made to measure though......

Would highly recomend the Albion Ultima, im currently trialing one, its amazinngly comfy. The pannels are nice and soft and she seems really happy in it. (the ideals are lovely too though but didnt fit as well).
