As title really .

Looking to put my 3 year old out for as much as possible over the next month or two .

She only really has a medium weight full neck rug and its still to warm for that yet .

Something that will fit well, not make her sweat up (ie the shiney type/nylon lining ?? ) Something with cotton lining .

And something that doesn't cost the earth

Have you looked on equestrian clearance's website? I ordered a stable rung from them today and I'm sure they had quite few different lightweight turnouts at good prices.

Any good with a sewing machine?

I just buy any weight of rug (make it easier to find cheap!) and take the filling out. Dead eay to do - inpick one edge between the surcingles, on the inside, rip all the filling out. Stitch up. Amd spend 4hrs trying to get all the bits of fluff off the carpet.

Have you tried Homstead in Tyrella. They always have cheap rugs. Although you tend to get the bargains out of season. I got a lightweight outdoor rug in mid winter for £30.

Another vote for Saxon. I bought mine recently on special offer at Countrywide. The store can order in the size you want if they dont have it in stock

I got a lovely 'Spring Turn-Out' for Mist outta Holmestead for $45 and it's a funky purple colour

Totally breathable and really well fitting.

Holmestead do have a website

Although, not all their rugs are online. If you phone them they're always a great help

Pre-equestrian or cybercheckout on Ebay do good bargin rugs usually Weatherbeeta and Amigo.
My pony had a Saxon turnout lovely rug, great value lasted 8 years.

I've just bought a musta (??) lw zing turn out rug for my cob, 6' 6" from Mole Valley farmers for £25. Think they've stopped doing them now though so you'd have to see if your local store had one in stock
