I'm stuck in bed ill so I thought I might do a bit of shopping :)

I am planning to take my horse to his first show on the 24th and it will be a walk and trot dressage test. As I have never done dressage before I do not have a smart white saddle cloth. I have a 17.5 VSD saddle so I don't know whether to go for an actual dressage saddle cloth or to go for a gp and hope its long enough. I was wondering if anyone knew any good makes that are well padded.

Thanks

I've got a WH saddle so I always have a similar dilemma about whether to buy a GP or Dressage saddle cloth!

My competition one is a JHL half sheepskin one so it has some padding but isn't too expensive (I didn't want to spend loads on a white one for it to get stained beyond rescue after a couple of outings!)

Its so hard trying to decide whether to get dressage or gp as some of the gp saddle cloths I have bought are too short!

I will check out JHL ones thanks :)

ooh I like the white and silver shockemole one :) Only thing is it looks like it has a logo on it, are you allowed to do dressage with a logo on?

the Schockemohle ones can be ordered as a special with no logo ;)

That is why I only buy cheap ones, less gutting if they don't quite fit right. My JHL one is a dressage one, the plain cotton gp one I have is a bit short, but a nice fit. I also find that the JHL ones don't rub, some of my other saddle cloths the binding rubs.

Equestrian Clearance have a facebook special today where you can get a lovely cc half sheepsking dressage saddlecloth for £25 instead of £70 :D
