Can anyone recommend me bags for long rides?

Hey can anyone recommend me a bag for long rides?
What do you use? I don't want something huge, but something big enough to pop in a bottle of water, phone, some snacks,etc, for when I'm out on long hacks that won't bump about.

Performance equestrian do get water bottles in holders which I can thoroughly recommend.

However..........

I saw a lady on a ride today and she had a leather bag on her saddle. I commented on it and she said she bought a leather handbag in a charity shop, just cut off the handle and added a couple of clips to hang it off her D rings. It looked really smart!!

There's a thing called the banana bag on www.cssaddlery.co.uk under exclusive products. It attaches to the saddle like a bum bag, has a flashing light on it and a reflector for safety and can be used as a bumbag on you when it's off the saddle.
