My boy is on boxrest, my mare I'm struggling to get working properly due to her propensity for holding her back like a board and flinging her legs about...! So whilst one is in and one needs extra help (ie water treadmill, more focused rehab type training to build her up properly without her stressing) I'm debating sending her off for a month/6 weeks. This also gives my field a bit of a rest, gives the mare a chance to grow up and see some more "stuff", so sounds like a winner to me.

So can anyone recommend such a place in and around the new forest area? I'd like to go atleast once a week for a lesson on/with her, so I can keep up the work when she comes home.

You could try Sophie Damment. Lovely rider and a few friends have used her. She’s in Wellow, Kentford Stud which is not far from Woodingtons.

I’ve used Stephen Way before and he is very good, he’s based in Pepperwood Park (previously Hoplands) and a great instructor.
